This is a special demand from a friend who wanted a super simple pasta recipe.
So I reckoned what better than the classic white sauce pasta , right?
The ingredients required are :
Boiled penne pasta 1 bowl
Mixed Herbs 1 tsp
Paprika 1 tsp
Olive oil/ butter 2 tbsp
Flour 2 tsp
Milk 3/4 cup (or more to adjust the consistency)
Cheese 1 cube (or more if you want)
Nutmeg 1/4 tsp
Salt and pepper
Garlic and onion can also be used if you want to
The procedure is :
Boil the pasta in salted water till al-dente. (Al-dente is a term used in the culinary world to check the ‘doneness’ of the pasta I.e, that the pasta is cooked well and not too much and it should have a bite)
Once it boils , drain and wash with cold water to avoid further cooking.
Next, in a pan heat 2 tsp of oil then add the herbs and boiled pasta. Sauté for a minute or two and keep aside.
In the same pan add the remaining oil followed by flour and cook till it turns a very light brown colour or it has a toasty aroma.
After that add the milk while continuously whisking to avoid lumps.
Add salt, pepper and paprika (if you don’t mind heat in your food).
Once it thickens, grate the cheese and stir to melt completely.
Keep whisking continuously to avoid any lumps, add milk if you want your pasta to be saucy.
By this time the sauce will be perfectly ready to add in the pasta.
Just cook until the pasta becomes hot.
This recipe will make enough for one serving, multiply according to the number of servings you want to make.
I hope you give this easy peasy very cheesy pasta a try 😂😂.
